Having visited Schull once or twice, the locals are very mixed on Ian Baileys innocence. Any thoughts on here on his guilt?

I watched both docs and I really really don’t know, my missus says he’s innocent. Just don’t know, fascinating stuff.

Sophie toscan du plantier. on 23:38 - Jul 5 with 1134 views | WicklowBlue | Remember Sophie's murder well from that time, it was all over the news. What's happened since then has probably meant we will never know the truth. The West Cork podcast is probably the most revealing account into Ian Bailey's behaviour during that period. His horrific treatment of Jules and constant narcissistic traits make you point the finger at him. Sheridan's documentary has a lot of hints into continued substance abuse, and Jules being threatened. Without any forensic evidence linking Bailey to the scene means everything else is circumstantial. The Guards also made a mess of the investigation leaving Sophie insitu over night, accusations of entrapment etc they screwed it up big time. Marie Farrell was the key witness who placed Bailey at the scene and eventually changed her story. There is so much going on behind the scenes here and so many questions unanswered... Wouldn't be surprised if Marie was having an affair with Bailey, seeing as the guards never established who she was playing away with. The only hope for this case is Jules Thomas giving her story now she is in the process of kicking Bailey out of her place. I felt he did it back in 96 and without any other credible culprits I feel even more confident in this today. But evidence..... [Post edited 5 Jul 2021 23:40]

I think the way he approached and rationalised the violence against his wife was strikingly similar to the way he approached and rationalised the scratches on his arm and forehead. That scene seemed like a clear lie from him and an insight to how he formulates his lies. With that scene in mind I think he was guilty.
