Yep. “One for the purists” but as you say, very tense. And seems like whoever makes the fewer mistakes will win.

But might as well have backrow forwards in the backs, given it’s just as physical and attritional there!

Did you think Colby should have had a red card?

Probably should have been a red. But always having his eyes on the ball saved him.

Sort of glad too. A red card might have ruined the game.

Poor second half for the Lions so far, too much kicking and not controlling the ball

No idea when I began here, was a very long time ago. Previously known as Spirit_of_81. Love cheese, hate the colour of it, this is why it requires some blue in it.

It’s only a friendly so thankfully it doesn’t matter.

If you want free flowing rugby watch League instead.

Lions were well and truly pumped in that second half. Kolisi saving the Henshaw try definitely a turning point but the Boks easily deserved the win in the end.

Yes but Van Der Merwe was also lucky to be on the pitch first for a tip tackle then a kick and trip could easily been 2 yellow cards ( even the trip looked more like a kick ). Lions looked awful in the 2nd half totally devoid of creativity and petrified of the high ball.
