Nydam and Kenlock 13:05 - Aug 31 with 911 viewsCheltenham_Blue

Very surprised that sides like Cheltenham or Swindon haven't been sniffing around players like this.
Even more surprised that Nydam is still without a club at all.

The free agent list will make for interesting reading come tomorrow morning, I suspect we may see an u20 or two come in via that route after the window closes.

I think, sadly, Nydam won't ever get over the injuries he's had.

No but you would have thought, given his previous potential, a side might take a risk with a pay as you play type contract, certainly until January.

I think Nydam has had another set back so is weighing up whether to continue in pro game or drop out and do something different

That's a real shame if so, to have a promising career blighted and then terminated by injury in that way.

Good Lord! Whatever is it?

same with Emyr Hughes, Tom Adeyimi - there are a lot of players that, on paper, are decent but without clubs. Emyr, Tom and Tristan, for me, fall into that category of having fitness issues and teams don't need to take a risk on them as there are other, better, options.

Adeyemi retired a long time ago. Training to be a doctor or something I think?

Yes, I think I was aware of that - I used him to illustrate the point really.

His was a forced retirement through medical issues rather than injuries.

There is also a case that the bottom has fallen out of the market - outside 10 or so clubs in L1, there are the rest of this division and all of League 2, where relaistically with the money in the National League you can earn playing for a Wrexham, Stockport, Chesterfield plenty will do that

Its to do with fitness, cost experience and reliability.
- Kenlock is perhaps a little surprising given the games under his belt and a strong fitness record. Would have thought league 2 or conference sides would be interested. Maybe seen as too lightweight
- Huws not surprised, as a combination of reliability and cost likely to deter teams
- Nydam again fitness plus lightweight. League 2 teams looking for experienced professionals or alternatively better young options on loan from PL or Championship
