My point Mm. Why use kenlock in a 1st team game where he can't play in the league. Could have used an u23 u18 or even put someone like Burgess there incase it was ever needed.

Kenlock is a professional and deserved a game as much as anyone else.

We have a duty of care not to ruin his career and / or mental health just for the sake of it.

I disagree with this. You have to earn your place on the training ground. If he does that then he deserves a game. Not just because he has a contract

There's nothing to suggest he isn't a good pro, and he's never been a problem.

There is absolutely no issue in giving him a run out in a reserve team fixture.

There is no doubt that Kenlock was fully worthy of his place.

U23s is a reserve team fixture mm.

If Burgess is our back up back up left back.. then that's when you play him there. Not someone who can't be used.

I'm sure he is a good pro but he still needs to show he's sharp and likely to put in a good performance before he gets a chance.
