Not Cook out 17:26 - Nov 20 with 898 views | wkj | But definitely Cook sort it out. Another game we were relatively comfortable in going to sh*t after a double sub in the 70th. Another game where a crap set piece cost us. (Excluding the penalty as the ref was out of his mind giving that)

Walton was not the only one to blame at all. We defended that poorly as team, yet again. Chaplin was awful when he came on, Fraser did much better. [Post edited 20 Nov 2021 17:32]

I dunno, when a keeper comes he has to get it.

TBF 'I dunno' is about right when you wanted Celina off at the 45.

Walton stays on his line he saves it comfortably. Saying that if we either took one of our chances or created something good with all our possession we would be too concerned about that.

Why Chaplin for Celina yes? We had about 5 shots on target, Celina managed 3 of them. Chaplin didn't do anything at all unfortunately as far as I can recall except a very wayward cross. SB

Chaplin didnt have the space that Edwards provided Celina with, taking edwards off, sunderland were able to relax slightly and have more cover central rather than concentrating on what edwards would do when on the ball, this was providing celina with lots of spaces to attack and drop into. Taking edwards off killed it. He can't finish himself, and he frustrates with final ball, but the type of player he is opens things up for others in other areas. If you're bringing chaplin on and taking celina off, you leave edwards on so chaplin gets the same space as celina got, you don't close it off by bringing fraser on

Space had nothing to do with it. Chaplin was poor today.

space has everything to do with it. Celina's involvement in the first half came from edwards taking away covering players from Celina. Chaplin didnt have that to work with, that's down to PC. it was the wrong call to take edwards off for Fraser.

Chaplin did werid stuff today and his first touch has been like he's wearing rubber boots the last couple of games. Don't kid yourself that he was a boon today - he really wasn't

Because at the time we were 0-0 and needed a goal. On the bench is Chaplin who as a 10 has proven he can score goals.. it was the sensible change to make. And it should be on we should be able to make with confidence. BUT the sub made was unfortunately countered by removing a key element to what enabled Celina to cause the problems that he did.

Edwards work rate was really good. Unsure why he was taken off
