They will have some horizon on this investment (10, 15, 20 years or longer) and only really get their money back in the Premier League. Another season in League One is an annoyance rather than a game changer (if you'll excuse the pun).
They're not waiting for promotion to fund the off-field activity that is required, so whilst it might see a large turnover of playing and coaching staff this summer for another tilt at League One, everything else to do with the club will still be moving forwards. |  | | |

If we are only in the Champ in 7 years (and not been in the Prem) - then they are going to struggle to get any kind of return. |  |
