Objectives and expectations of new manager 11:00 - Dec 5 with 428 viewshunty21

1. Must achieve promotion/play offs this season
2. You wont be given time to develop a team , owners take charge of progression with players.
3. You coach the players and deal with tactics we identify and recruit the players.
Not a job for older managers gonna be a first team coach maybe ab assistant manager from premier league club

Top 2 gone, playoffs maybe possible. It may have been more achievable if we had someone different in a month ago, but onwards and upwards. Ashton take note you cannot mess the next appointment up as that will be on your shoulders, nowhere to hide from that one. Aim high that is the only thing I ask don't settle for 3rd division managers or currently out of work ones, remember they are not out of work for doing a good job.

No excuses. Players are through the door and settled and he’ll have a transfer window to adjust things. Needs to be nudging the playoffs during January and then we’ll see if he can get the players up for the run in and the play-offs. Anything else will be failure ...

Only joking. I think he should get the rest of the season and just needs to show signs of improving us. If we improve enough we’ll be in the play-offs, if it’s not enough then we’ll just have to judge the positives against the negatives.

Top 2 was out of reach about a month ago. Play offs by any means is the target - I’d snap your hand off for 6th right now if it was offered.

What I want from a new manager is someone who helps our players progress.

Said it at the time, but a coach who comes in and tells you "I can't work with this group" is a terrible terrible sign. You want someone who comes in and makes what we have better as individuals and as a unit.
