Things were not going well. The early joke about Cameron looking like he had been brought up at Eton, whereas Johnson had been eaten and brought up had set the tone. And despite Johnson doing his best. The comedy trip, the ruffled hair.... cripes, he had even pulled his shirt out, it was all to no avail.
Yet another country that saw him as no more than a comic turn, so back to dear old blighty.

The very idea that a UK PM would be taking money from friends of Putin - why you'll be telling us next that his cabinet were all on the take as well.
And the idea that the son of a KGB officer could be made a knight, and permitted to sit in the country's own law making house is taking it too far.
So best rein it in GB, stick to positive news that doesn't feature folk laughing at righties, like this perhaps
