Then you have an odd sense of humour. If you or I would were to smash a kid's phone in public we'd either have an angry dad to deal with or a trip to the police station. [Post edited 10 Apr 2022 9:20]

I do find it funny that Ronaldo thinks the solution, after acting like a toddler having a tantrum, is offering a free ticket to Old Trafford rather than at the very least buying a new phone. Unless it’s Everton’s next trip there (which may not be next season, at the very least) why would an Everton fan be interested in that? Saying that, I’m assuming it’s an Everton fan’s phone but, if it’s a United’s fans phone he should be offering the works as well as replacing the handset. Either way, smashing that phone has been the most effort Ronaldo has shown in a United shirt in quite a while.

I'm guessing that if we apologised and offered to replace the phone, there would be no police investigation. Calm down.

No, you'd still be prosecuted if the rozzers got involved, regardless of whether you offered to replace the phone. It's called criminal damage. The key word there being "criminal". Hope that helps.

So you think the overworked and under-funded police would ignore the apology and offer of a replacement, and waste their own time and public funds by charging you anyway?

Any actual evidence it was a child? Undoubtedly it's completely off side, but I'm sure he'll get the full works as an apology as it's a very bad look for the club. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Why do you insist on arguing about just about anything? It must be very tiresome. Enjoy your Sunday.

Apparently, some guy has posted on insta claiming it was his kid's phone. Could be bollicks but kids tend to hang around the player's tunnel

Other than that! But tactically neither Solskjaer or Rangnick have played to his strengths in general and he hasn’t taken to the press from the front approach United did so well last year. That means opposition can get the ball out of defence and straight into their Achilles heal, which is the midfield.

To be fair, I don't watch Premier League football. I only mentioned it because a work colleague was at that game and said CR was superb.

Spurs? Was probably one of his best performances of the season. Had actually forgotten that was relatively recent as he has been woeful since.

Not necessarily. If the victim/parent was happy with an apology/compo then the offence could be dealt with by a community resolution (restorative justice). Would make more sense as not really in the public interest to prosecute and less hassle for everyone involved.
