Felt a bit bad for Norwood today 15:19 - Apr 16 with 898 viewsFrimleyBlue

Awful miss, but besides that he put himself around well, never gave up and pushed as much as he could. Had 0 support around him though and that hurt us.

When you compare him and Smith, there's not much difference in the way they play, smith did better on occasions holding the ball up, but the support he had was night and day compared to Nors.

He’s certainly the only one who can regularly win free kicks, the rest of our players don’t cheat and fall over when touched which you frankly have to do these days, thus the ball kept coming back at us second half.

True was a terrible miss, but he was given scraps at best second half. If he had service he would bang them in in league 1

The only Muff in Town.

Not too sure if he has the fitness and zip around the pitch to play as a lone striker in a team with top 2 ambitions.
He is still effective at this level, but probably more so in a 2, as his best ability is his positioning and ability to find space. With another striker, he'll get that. It's no surprise that his best form this season coincided with him playing alongside Bonne.

I don't like what I've read about him. But based on football he's gonna score goals next season when he moves on. He's a horrid striker and one who needs more than 1 chance presented per game.

I know the 4 4 2 is throwned upon by managers of town recently. But a bonne. Norwood front two close together surely is better than having 1 trying to do everything and support themselves when the balls gets to them.

Rotherham were masters at buying free kicks weren't they? It's not the most admirable thing to watch, but it feels like we need to do it more.

He's got loads of effort, but not nearly enough quality fir me. He is loose with the ball far too often, and he has a history of missing decent chances for us.

Problem is, we play more of a 3-6-1 with Aluko and Celina being 10's who like to drop too deep. It means we have loads of the ball, but don't really carry a threat at the top end of the pitch or over the top.

Not a big problem to fix. We just need to strengthen the left side and up top.
It's obvious that Thompson isn't a wing back/ is a very limited footballer.

Not sure they really bought them too much, Bakinson was guilty on many occasions of putting a clumsy challenge in that will always get punished. Didn't help ourselves at all today.

Indeed, although I’ve just noticed they had one booking all game against our 5 which I find incredible. Particularly galling was rathbones check on celina which he reacted to stupidly and made the ref forget about the cast iron booking for the former (although of course he shouldn’t do)
