PS. Very well deserved, for the benefit of any doubt. Incredible sacrifices made across the sector and especially on the front line, including far to many who made the ultimate sacrifice, sadly. Absolute bloody heroes and a disgrace how they were then treated in the next pay review.

There is an annual stipend of £10,000 that goes with a George Cross. Assuming they don't each get that, but just a share of it, they'll each get less than one penny each on average.
