Dementure and rugby on 23:47 - Jul 16 with 760 views | Freddies_Ears | Rugby Union is in denial. Its laws were drawn up for amateur gentlemen, not for 20-stone, 100m-in-12-seconds athletes. The damage done when two such athletes clash heads is as serious as it is predictable.
Dementure and rugby on 06:13 - Jul 17 with 692 views | hype313 | There's going to be a NFL reckoning soon. I coach U7's and its all touch Rugby up until U11's when they start to introduce tackling, but as soon as that starts you see kids fall away from the game, we have groups of 16-18 players and as soon as tackling is introduced it drops down to 8-9 players per age group. Don't know what can be done, I know in the professional game they are limited to one contact session per week in training which will go a long way to help, but its notba magic bullet. Watched Steve Thompson recently talk about how he can't remember one thing about winning the WC or anything about the game, he said he would give it all back to have his health back.

Dementia and rugby on 08:50 - Jul 17 with 620 views | LegendofthePhoenix | This can't go on. Rugby Union is in denial, and I can't see how it can be made safe, tackling is fundamental. Such a shame as it is such a great spectacle. But health of the players has to come first. [Post edited 17 Jul 2022 8:51]
