- Story of the Blues - Mighty Wah - Edward Ebeneezer Jeremiah Brown - Boys are back in Town - Thin Lizzy - Current walkout music, with a shortened introduction, too long between start and players emerging, it loses momentum - Hey Jude
In all seriousness something in the style of this would be amazing. Montage of heroes and greats from yesteryear, sprinkled in with some iconic snippets of commentary, set against the opening riff of where the streets have no name.
This is college football in front of 80k fans so you don’t have to work too hard to get them pumped up, but this on the video screen with the music pumping through a (good) PA system gets the place absolutely rocking. The players enter the field just as the music ends.

Be missing a big trick if they don't utilise the big screen like this.
Could intersperse clips of the 5-3 v Bolton with more modern 'moments'.

Start gentle with black and white clips of 61/62 and Sir Alf’s quote after we won the league “I feel fine”, then a shot of Sir Bob arriving at Ipswich, some goals from Beattie and Mariner and Wark before “Osborne 1-0”, then show some wizardry from the Dutch boys before we see a couple of goals from the UEFA cup final. Fast forward to pitch invasion at Oxford and quote from Johnny Lyall saying “we’ve had a lovely day”, get in Mathie’s hat trick v scum, bit of Magic v Bolton and Reuser at Wembley, skip the next decade and a half, add in Chaplow and Hunt and end with KMac quote about this being a special club.
