Not about the football players today, we were quite sloppy in forward areas a bit too often for that but we did the ugly stuff well pretty much throughout.

At 75 minutes I was wondering whether it might be a missed opportunity for us but then Chaplin proved his worth yet again. We saw that out fairly comfortably with the only concern that long range shot which didn't look far off.

I also thought Barnsley were pretty decent last week, so good to see them showing that again today. I'm looking forward to seeing how quietly Norwood celebrated his goal....

I thought we made them look like a pub team in that second half. Very comfortable win in the end.

Absolutely, properly ugly game but we scrapped it out. I thought Barnsley were a better team than most gave them credit for, as you say they showed that today

Didn’t watch today, but you’ve got to find a way to grind these out. To get a late goal and then kill it off straight away with another is the way to do it in style. Happy days so far.

Sounded like his first touch, I’m hoping for a belly wobble for the tykes that had a pop during the week!

Think Accrington always try and make it scrappy esp at home, felt it would be a horrible game today and one that we just needed to win and move on from which we did.

We seem a bit more streetwise, more prepared for the scrap. Some players revel in games like that and Stanley have plenty of them. Good to come though that kind of test, good win that, thought we'd draw.
