You can't ask for much more than that. There seems to be a lot of over-analysis of what we did wrong today, but actually it's how the cookie crumbles. We could've quite easily won that game. We're creating very presentable chances. We're playing some of the best football we've seen in years. Don't worry about stats, or what we've done on Sky, or whether we play well on Sundays. We're playing well every week, for me. We're not perfect, but feasibly we could've won every game. It's 11 v 11, sometimes their 11 will get the nod. We're going up, metaphorically and actually. Chill yer boots.

Love always,

Against the top teams we are coming up short, I don’t think anyone can argue with that, and I’m not sure we are quite good enough to be going up automatically.

So we have to start working on how we beat the top teams in this league as we could well need to in the play offs.

As weird as it may sound, I don't think we are coming up short. I really don't. I think we're coming up unlucky now, but playing well. Much better, and much better well run for years. These games we've lost or drawn against top sides have been marginal. We're fine and will be up there, not in the play offs but straight up IMO. Over the course of the season.

We've been beaten by exactly one team above us this season.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

We will know a bit more after Portsmouth but as it stands I’m not convinced we would win a 2 leg play off against Plymouth or Sheffield Wed, we are decent, but didn’t take our chances and wilted under pressure in both games.

We drew away to SW and narrowly lost to PA. It's fine margins, and incorrect, IMO, to say we "wilted under pressure". No, I don't think we wilted at all when you watch the games. We just drew/lost and could've easily won/won.

You''l lose some games. We'll probably lose another. It doesn't mean anyone "wilted under pressure."

We aren’t coming up short though are we?

We’ve lost today for the first time, against really good opposition away from home. We drew the other games, that’s not coming up short - it’s not the outcome we’d want of course, we want 3 points, but coming up short would be getting beat convincingly and outclassed every time we step up in quality - like under Lambert tenure.

That simply isn’t the case here.
