I would love to say England and hope it is but we need to win three ties in a row.

It's going to be something like France, Spain and Brazil. Going forwards we're a match for anyone. Defensively, i'm just not sure. Only two conceded but we haven't played anyone yet.

Great to get to the quarter finals and think we have as much chance as anyone though.

Truly impaired.

Funny isn't it. Before the tournament started England's group was described as the toughest one based on the FIFA rankings, with all four teams being in the top twenty, now the press has concluded that we haven't played anyone decent yet.

There are two possibilities for this.

1. The FIFA rankings are, well, rank.
2. England are actually better than we think.

I honestly cannot decide which it is.

If we look at Belgium being the top ranked side, then that would lead us to believe that the rankings are painfully wrong.

England are performing well, there's no doubt about that, but as we've glimpsed in the games so far, we are hugely susceptible to forwards with pace. Mbappe is going to have a field day against Stones and Maguire, the latter in particular and Rice/Henderson sure aren't going to be able to help on that front, so Southgate is going to have concoct a miracle to contain that threat.

We also had people saying how the Senegal game won't be easy, 18th in the world, ACON winners in 2021. But now we've beaten them 3-0 they're a nobody. I think England deserve a little more credit for how easy they made a potentially difficult tie look (aside from the first 25 minutes where Senegal had a couple of good chances, although even then we dominated possession). Now they clearly aren't a France or Spain, and had a couple of key players out injured, but that was a good win for Ingerland.

Belgium are ranked 2nd, but I take your point.

Thankfully Mbappe won't come into much contact with Maguire because he'll be on the other side, but Walker and Stones will need to have the game of their lives.
