No real shock for me in the selection and back McKenna 100%. Just feel slightly frustrated and gutted for Edwards. Just feel he's one of our best footballers and it's getting to the point where he will ha e to move on. Feels like one we could regret wasting.
I can only assume he just can't be relied on defensively. Perhaps the data shows he does t cover the ground or something...but for me he is someone who should be playing more. |  |

Not sure that's the reason. As McCarthy once said (of JET I think), world beater or panel beater. His game is so inconsistent. He can be 9/10 but is very often 4 or 5 out of 10. A consistent 6.5 plus is what is lacking. |  |

He just flatters to deceive unfortunately - clearly has some skills in his locker, but rarely uses them to real effect.

I assumed defensively because I don't see a major issue to what he brings in attack. Anyone playing the way he does will lose the ball at times. But he opens things up and makes things happen. For me some of our finishing (Ladapo case in point the other night) have cost him some assists. He does need to work on his finishing. That being said it's so difficult for him right now. He gets only fleeting chances so (As Rashford said recently) will feel he has to make an impact every time and some tikes leads to wrong decisions.
It really looked like was forcing his way in until that shocking red card decision.

I've seen this said but on several occasions feel like I was watching a different match. Always looks lively and positive to me. His first touch is class and looks to make things happen. There have been a few poor finishes that have cost him assists.
I dare say the times I haven't seen him maybe worse then.
