I’m trying to remember if I EVER heard a player say anything interesting /amusing when signing for a new club . It must have happened , but I can’t think of any.)
P.s. a caveat to that is that I did enjoy Dutch players in the 90s and afterwards who would do none of the British false modesty (“ I’ll try hard and hope the gaffer picks me”) and went full-on “I’m quick, I’m skillful , I have two great feet, I have a great moustache, you’re very lucky to get me” .
