The “defending†for their first goal 17:37 - Jan 21 with 1109 views | Illinoisblue | Criminal at any level. Pathetically weak. Couldn’t see through the fog for the winner but assume it wasn’t much better.

The “defending” for their first goal on 17:44 - Jan 21 with 1017 views | LankHenners | Never felt comfortable when a player runs at Burgess and it's not the first time this season we've conceded from someone wandering past him pretty easily. Mills on the radio was saying Burgess also made a mess of not dealing with the ball before it found its way to Brannigan to smash in. Not a 'player who played in defeat must come out for player who didn't' post as I've said for a while Fridge offers us more anyway and for me he's got to come back in. Burgess is a solid enough aerial defender and has improved his game but (and you may have to be slightly harsh) there's been quite a few goals conceded in this run where he's been the nearest defender to the scorer.

He seemed to just give up on the play. Time for Fridge and maybe Clarke to come in. Although JD played better today, at least getting forward.

It was Woolfenden that fooked it up for their goal, got out of position, then outmuscled by the player, then Donacien comes in to help out and does nothing, then the guy walks past Burgess too, I wouldn't want to be any of them when that's replayed to the group during the post mortem at PR.

Only issue is Edmundson is uncomfortable on the left and we had more issues in the air with him at the back. He doesn't work well with Woolfenden. We almost need to bring in a LCB now, but it's ridiculous when the answer to every issue is sign someone else.

Don't think he's uncomfortable just naturally right footed which can be awkward in some situations. Far far far better on the ball as well.

The “defending” for their first goal on 18:24 - Jan 21 with 751 views | pointofblue | Just looked back at our defensive at the end of last season. We conceded ten goals from the last 20 games with basically the same personnel (Davis in at LB/LWB). I assume our style of play means we're more open, but the defence is not as comfortable with it.
