No coincidence that performances dipped without Evans and then when he did return, he was either unfit or just badly out of form. Not sure what's happening with Luongo, seems unable to get himself fit.
Clarke looks a poor signing as well. Not an upgrade on KVY and not sure what he offers the side in all honesty. Now being shoehorned into the side because we've paid a million quid for him. |  |

Trouble is, we've signed players for the Championship, or what we think we'll need in the Championship and they're not pulling up trees in League One.
Trying to be cute by paying a million here and there for 'potential' and then relying on that player to perform week in, week out in a "lesser" league is daft. We should do what Sunderland did and go all out and build a team capable of making the step up. Don't have five choices for every attacking position in the hope something sticks.
Players must also know they'll be dumped when we reach the Championship if they can't perform consistently at League One level. |  |

I’m by no means writing him off and will cut him some slack given his age…. But Humphreys has been anonymous these past two games and the game has passed him by completely. He’s going to be a big player for us in years to come, but afraid our midfield has been weak the last couple of matches.
Will be great experience for him which will serve him well, but right its a real shame we don’t have another senior CM to be starting. |  | | |

Completely agree I feel we are at our weakest when he is in the team, Morsy notably drops deeper to help him and it definitely seems to affect our midfield shape.
However, it cannot be the sole blame for how Morsys form has dropped since the new year, really not sure what is going on. Feel that ever since that Charlton game he hasn't been the same.
The whole team just looks slow and out of ideas that we now just play long diagonal balls. |  |

yeah, MF, is looking a bit of a worry... I'm baffled by the Luongo signing if he's not going to be available, just when he's needed... Thought we'd have learned our lesson on signing crocks, by now....
Morsy is looking jaded, imo...Humphreys needs a seasoned pro playing 8 or 9 out of 10, alongside him. Then we could get away with playing him regularly

Worth remembering Clarke is only 21. He's an upgrade on KVY in various ways. Not had a great start though. |  |
