As she didn't have a gun.

No sympathy.

These words say so much about what is wrong in the US

"Ms Zwerner plans to sue the school district after she was shot through her hand and upper chest following what police described as an "altercation" with the first-grader."

"The family of the young boy, who have also not been charged"

"The firearm was legally purchased and belonged to the child's mother"

How does a 6-year-old end up in possession of the firearm without the parents facing charges?

As you say, so much wrong with gun laws in the US.

The only way to deal with the bad guys having guns is for the good guys to buy bigger and more powerful guns. And then when the bad guys buy even bigger guns then the good guys buy even bigger guns. Guns, guns, guns, guns, guns…..good thing the gun lobby isn’t that influential over there, goodness knows where it’ll end.

Actually old fellow, my words were

" so much about what is wrong in the US"

My comment was not specific to US gun laws, but the US itself

Those lunatic gun laws don't come out of nowhere. They are a reflection of the sickness of around half the US citizens - or to rephrase, the halfwitted US citizens.

And this litigious element of society has been allowed to infect the UK. Where so much 'regulation' is now entities having to restrict so much to comply with insurance requirements - or health and safety gone mad, as thicko righties would bleat out.

There seems to be no responsibility on the parents, for allowing a 6 year old to access a gun, but the school is to be sued for failing to cover the parent's lack of control over this child

Again this warped attitude comes out of the society it exists in.

To try to isolate this simply to gun laws misses the point.
