It's been quite a season - the title being confirmed last night, with Thetford losing 2-0 away at Norwich United, meaning they couldn't catch us with only 2 games left.
The trophy presentation will be before the kickoff for the last league game of the season on Saturday at home to Harleston Town - (which I'm going to miss, as we'll be at Peterborough!).
And then we've got a League Challenge Cup semi final on Tuesday at home to Woodbridge Town - if we win that, and the final against either Lakenheath or Newmarket Town, not only would it be back to back titles, but back to back league and cup doubles!
"On the 7th January, we lost 2-1 at then runaway league leaders Thetford to fall 15 points off the top spot. At no point did this lot give up. Instead they went on a run of 15 straight league wins to storm to the summit."

I know...
I missed the big title deciding clash between Wanderers and Thetford a few weeks back as well, as I was at the Tottenham Stadium watching Yasmin performing at the Saracens v Harlequins rugby game.. so missed the two biggest games... I'm forgoing watching the Barnsley game on iFollow to be at the semi on Tuesday tho! | |
