A month or so back it was announced that exports of ffruit to the EU had halved. Now we are told that Meat and Fish exports to the EU have halved

This was obvious BEFORE the referendim, as leaving the EU meant easy exporting would end, and piles of red tape would follow.
I am reminded of a mate trying to explain to a thicko that if Town were going to close one third of it's turnstiles, require people to produce two forms of ID and have it checked before then filling in a three page form, it WOULD slow things down. That is what brexit has done to business.
Sadly it is only the beginning. Some of the reduction in fruit exports is simply down to UK farmers reducing what they grow. That will happen with farmers. Remember the huge number of pig carcasses that have to be burned or buried.
Covid acted as a mask (no pun) for Brexit failings.Any decrease in trade/production could be blamed on Covid. . There was a small businessman on QT last night. Explaining what brexit is doing to his business, and no doubt to thousands of others in a similar position.
