Anyone seen anything about this?
Chelsea don't have a shirt sponsor at the moment. Their contract with Three expired so they have been trying to get a new shirt sponsor.
They originally had a deal lined up with Paramount+ but according to The Metro that was blocked by the Premier League for fear of upsetting Sky.
Subsequently they were going to go with a gambling firm, which as we know would have been fine and dandy with the Premier League, but their supporter's trust objected to it.
Consequently their search for a sponsor has thus far been fruitless.
But I am flabberghasted that the Premier League should block Paramount+, a relatively harmless streaming and production company, whilst waving betting companies through without objection given the harm that betting can cause.

Let's not forget that that's the same 'Three' who terminated their sponsorship agreement with Chelsea upon Russia's invasion of Ukraine but, conveniently enough, remained plastered over their shirts because apparently Chelsea couldn't afford to procure a new batch of unsponsored shirts. |  |

This is based on no fact, just a general observation.
Would shirt sponsorship be that important to Chelsea? Forest went last season without a sponsor as they were not being offered what they valued their shirt sponsorship to be, so I am thinking this wouldn’t harm chelsea too much? Especially with them having less exposure this season, no Europe etc so presumably their shirt sponsorship would bring in a lot less money than usual? | | | |

The previous deal with Three was worth £40M a year. Pretty substantial and a big loss to any team. | |
