There's a lot more to Smith's game than just being a big old target man... His workrate is pretty good. He's decent with hi is feet ,too..
I wouldn't be against it if we went in for him. Although, he would , imo, be more of an " option", than an out and out starter.... He could probably be got for under 500k. ( I'm basing that on an alleged opening offer of 350k from Derby....
But, realistically, I'd probably see it as another Ahadme type signing. Having missed out on preferred targets.

Haven’t seen a huge amount of him, but on what I have seen, decent L1 standard, works hard. No improvement on what we have though. Age 31 so not going to improve so a no.

Didnt realise he was 31yrs old....
I was listening to Rotherham fans when they got promoted from L1. Saying how much he'd improved as an all round player. Bit raw when they signed him. But Warne was getting more out of him in an all round sense. I thought he was quite hard working in SW team, last season.... But given his age, I make you right......
He'd still be a decent bet for any L1 club, though. So you'd fancy Derby(Warne) to be the front runners.

I’d say so. Especially seeing Derby’s result today. Only one game mind and I know nothing of Derby beyond us trampling on them in March/April
