Presumably it's an effort to stop them speaking their minds about referees immediately after they've been dismissed, either internally on club media or in the wider media. From what I have seen over the last few seasons, most managers that are sent off have understand lost it over a completely comical refereeing decision. Seems like a clear attempt not to highlight the red card or the incident that probably led to it.

Yes, a party to go to, the manager saying to the 4th official , 'what would I have to call you to get a red? Would 'knob' do it?'
