Perhaps. But personally I'd prefer to bring in someone at the peak of their career or approaching the end for experience (such as Cathcart) rather than a youngster on loan - which I presume this.

Ha, just posted that in another thread.

Wording of that suggests interest reasonably firm but sure the club will be quick to say interest never went that far. Does make you think we're actively exploring the loan market now for a CB.

Feels a bit fluffy.

There’s quite a gap between being “on the radar” and then the player “opting” for Swansea which suggests there was a choice.

Not saying we weren’t in for him but this seems a little weak on its own.
