VAR rot in hell 22:30 - Aug 14 with 1275 views | Woolfenthen | get rid of this nonsense, however, if the Ref can't even see that's a Pen. then there really is no hope is there. All for putting an ex pro in the VAR team, however I think a fan should also go in there we seem to know more than the idiots in charge of the game.
VAR rot in hell on 22:46 - Aug 14 with 1192 views | MattinLondon | Ex-pros will be appalling as they will basically be biased. And just because someone plays the game doesn’t mean that they understand it. The only way to improve referring standards is to actually respect them and to also understand that as humans they will make mistakes. I do wonder how many young refs have thought ‘sod it’ as a result of abuse when starting out. Saying that, in that case VAR was abysmal.

VAR rot in hell on 08:50 - Aug 15 with 770 views | Guthrum | With ABS on a car, drivers rely on that when braking, rather than learning to control a vehicle in slippery conditions. Likewise if VAR is constantly checking decisions, referees will come to use that for tight decisions. Especially given the levels of abuse they receive from players, managers and fans who simply feel their team is disadvantaged by that call. If people don't respect referees, they're going to hide behind the technology. In most other sports, they don't need to.

VAR rot in hell on 09:14 - Aug 15 with 698 views | Stewart27 | How can you blame VAR for that? It presented that ref a SECOND opportunity to give a penalty. He should be struck off for that. Absolutely disgraceful decision to not give that. Bottled it completely.
VAR rot in hell on 09:32 - Aug 15 with 615 views | Yppswyche | People can critique VAR forever but I wish we had it in League 1, and wish we had it in the Champs now. We’ve been on the end of so many glaring refereeing errors, in most games, and this is what it’s meant to prevent. The powers that be may still be trying season on season to figure out how best to utilise it’s powers but if you stuck Wolves back in League 1 for a few games their fans would freak at actually have something to moan about, tho maybe it would offer some peace to all these non-wolves fans who are moaning about a decision which doesn’t affect them.
