If the dried shrooms had genuinely been bought at the Asian grocery store, then other people would have been similarly afflicted you'd have thought. On the face of it, looks a relatively easy case to prove or disprove.

Seems a very lucky escape for the "estranged husband" who "could not attend last minute". Maybe he felt a bit green around the gills at the thought of meeting up with her again ...

Well having read a bit more about this case, it seems the ex-husband had fallen mysteriously ill in 2020 as well and suspected he'd been poisoned. She also had some mushroom dehydrator thing that she threw out before the police could get hold of it to examine it.
