Baggot.. 23:02 - Aug 29 with 1525 viewsBigCommon

Didn't get to watch the Reading game. Just wondered how Baggot got on..Noticed Reading had zero shots on target up til the final 5- 10 mins. Wasn't sure if that was down to them, or one or two of ours playing well at the back?

On reflection the whole team played well and enjoyed most of the possession and closed down Reading every time they had the ball.
Baggott had a very good game and at times was exceptional. He certainly made an impression. He gave 100 %. Reading did not roll over and hung in there from start to finish. A very good competitive game and both teams played their part. Baggott has a future at this club .

Very, very good.

Pick of the defenders.

RIP Sir Bobby

He'll reflect on their opener and feel he could have done more.

Had a chance to score via and good intercept, some neat play on the edge of the box and then seeing a chance to break in and get on the end of a move he started.

Nice and aggressive in the right ways. There's a future in the game for him, the question is only about the levels he might reach.

Just got home. Baggott did well. Tall, strong and with a decent turn of speed. Pretty good game reading for a youngster.

The vast majority of the game was played up Reading's end of the pitch, so they weren't often in a position to shoot.

Good Lord! Whatever is it?

I really rate Baggot. People forget he's only 20 years old. I think he's very composed for his age. Much like Humphreys.
Personally think he's got the potential to be much better than Wolfy. He's 4 years behind him, age wise. Got about 15 international appearances behind him, too. And is used to the pressure of millions of Indonesians on his case daily. Personally think, he doesnt need the "character building", side of a loan move. Hes got that already. Some good coaching here at the club, with cup games and, perhaps the odd first team league appearance, would be of more benefit to his developement, imo. Rather than being a "head on a stick" type CB, with a league 1 loan.
