Becoming a scramble to get home tickets 07:06 - Sep 5 with 2317 views | Bobbychase | Which is preferable to 14,000 of us rattling round the place towards the end of the Mick era. A lot of the "floating voters" I know who maybe go to home games as and when they can free up weekends are cottoning on to the fact that they need to be sharp when tickets are released.

Becoming a scramble to get home tickets on 08:14 - Sep 5 with 2114 views | GavTWTD | Yup. I don't often go to games but I got a single for the blackburn game. When a mate then wanted to come with me it was a task to get 2 together, and that was over a week ago.

Wait - Phil doesn’t even let you out for match days? I bet he’s got you on a zero hours contract too…

Yip, spot on. I was weeks away from giving up my ST ( I couldn’t stomach anymore of the dross). Then McCarthy walked. Had he been manager for one more season I was done, and it was a decision I was not taking lightly having been ever present since 1968. Now you can’t get a ticket for love not money. How times have changed and WHAT an atmosphere at the ground we have. I love sexy football …..

My first game was 68 too. I confess I actually gave up my season ticket in 2018 after many years. My dad was unable to sit in any sort of cold and mobility was becoming an issue. He was miserable and there was no fun in it. Work was onerous and we lost my mum that year too. But that’s only part of it and in truth excuses. Personally, I’d had enough of what I was seeing on the pitch and watching the club die before my eyes. You could argue that by not going so much (took in the odd game) I was perpetuating that decline, but when it came to it enough was enough for me. It was heartbreaking. I took an ‘early bird’ season ticket this year because circumstances allow me to see more games and seeing the club reborn is something I wanted to see first hand. I am over the moon at what I have witnessed. It’s not so much the team or the freshened up ground, but the atmosphere and feel.. I love how many young people, families, children are present. It’s probably the thing that surprised me the most (my getting older is a factor obviously). You can taste the atmosphere as you approach the ground. Seeing PR full is something I never thought I’d see again. It’s great. And that team might not be the best I’ve ever seen, but boy is it exciting to watch them giving it a right good go and in some style too.
Becoming a scramble to get home tickets on 10:28 - Sep 5 with 1578 views | ChampionsofInnsbruck | I am a ST ticket holder, but there are almost always a block of 10-15 seats to the right of me, across several rows going back in the lower north near the disabled entrance that are rarely occupied and a number behind me. There is always chunks of seats still free from what I can see in the Sir Alf upper tier to the left and the the right and many more dotted around. While some may be ST holders not attending, I don't think many of those seats have been occupied this season. One thing I am doing is as I work some weekends/weeknights is get the club to give me a print at home ticket for the games I cannot attend, and I send them to a lad from Colchester who can't always afford to go. I would recommend others in my position, who aren't always able to attend doing the same thing as there is a demand at last and we want as many in the ground making noise as possible. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

How do you arrange the print at home tickets for the games you can't attend please? There will be a few for me (I couldn't go to the Cardiff game but my brother used my ST). My son will be in the same position when he goes back to university. Thanks
