Definitely had a very late goal ruled out for offside once though, which I think was away. Remember listening to it on the radio, ran around the house batsh1t crazy and upon returning to the kitchen my dad told me it had been disallowed lol. I must’ve only been about 8.

As were all of the four goals he conceded.
That game cost us a Playoff spot, nor Wright, Forrest injured, and Clive Baker (who was a good keeper) not included in the squad, who only featuired as a sub in a few Anglo-Italian Cup games that season... if only he would have been on the bench for this disaster!

Think this led to the loan (again) of Andy Petterson and Fred Barber, complete with mask.

Birmingham away in Oct/Nov '97. Definitely didn't look offside to me, in fact I was really annoyed about it at the time. Bitterly cold night that one.
I remember as a young lad Neil sitting in the bar at the bottom of the walk ( can't remember the name, is opposite the back buttermarket entrance ) supping pints and chain smoking tailor made cigarettes on a weekday afternoon and i was quite shocked. He was playing week in and week out in the team at the time, was quite good i thought but a little chunky.

That sounds about right, the timings would work. Season we lost in the playoffs to Charlton then.
Yes, we played Crewe away about that time and somehow managed to only draw 0-0 despite totally dominating. The infamous Stockport game must have been a week later.
And then we signed David Johnson, I don't think Gregory got much of a look in after that.
