How the table could look 13:13 - Nov 3 with 2196 viewsSamWhiteUK

Decided to revive my tool from about 18 months ago, that I spoke about here

How the table could look after the weekend by SamWhiteUK 10 Feb 2022 13:11
Thanks for the feedback guys!

I will definitely put the next opponent in. That was something I always planned to do, but I just never got around to it and I just wanted to get it out there.

Joe, that table looks really good and had I known about it I wouldn't have bothered!

I will take the points into my plans and try to post this before every game day. How often would people like to see this? Every day with a Town game? Every day with a fixture for any team? The way it works currently, is if all the games bar one are on a Saturday, the Sunday game won't be taken into consideration i.e. it's not a "round" of fixtures, per se. That's complicated, and even more so now there are teams like Wigan with loads of games in hand.

It wouldn't be too hard to adapt to other leagues - at the moment it works for the Prem, Champ, L1 and L2, as that's what TWTD has available.

There will be other sites that do exactly the same thing, but I wanted a go at it myself.

The old version was broken in that it didn't account for all possible moves (eg being able to move up the table on GD even if you weren't playing, if the team above you lost)

The coloured bars represent the same as in the previous thread

Nice to see us up there unable to be moved, isn't it? :)

Thanks- but you do know that you have a job for the rest of the season now, don't you?

Hope Norwich continue the slide as the don't play until Sunday and then lose anyway

Really highlights how from 3rd to 21st it's a pretty typical tight Championship with not much between the teams and a few wins being enough to really catapult you up the table. This year the top 2 and bottom 3 are real outliers.

It really does. When I generated it I was shocked by how much of the diagram was coloured!

Excellent work putting this together by the way. It's a really useful illustration.

I forgot to even look for their placing. That's how irrelevant they have become....

That is great work. Can you carry this on throughout the season? That would be amazing. I really appreciate when people put the effort in like this. I am not so good on computers, so when people do things like this, I love it. Thank you.

I'm absolutely going to try and do it throughout the season. I can't guarantee that I catch every fixture, I might miss some if games are rescheduled etc, but I'll try. I think I'll do a new thread each time, and maybe I'll sometimes update during a block of games. Thanks for the kind words
