The thing I haven’t noticed anyone pick up on is he said that of our squad Davis was Premier League quality, and Broadhead might be but he’s worry about his physicality in the top flight.

Shows the gap between the leagues. We are flying in the Championship, look a certainty for the play-offs and a strong contender for automatic and someone who knows what they are talking about thinks we have one and a half players ready to step up.

Well considering that Rico Lewis can get into the National team Davis is a much better performer and should be very comfortable in the PL.

I think Wolf and Hladky could also hold their own in the premier league.

I don't think it would be wise for Hladky to hold his own ( or anybody else's for that matter ) as he'd probably need both of his hands to do his job effectively.

Maybe, but that wasn’t the point I was making. I think I (and many others) underestimate how large a rebuilding job we’d have to do if we got promoted to become even competitive.

I guess it isn’t surprising as many of our players were signed when we were in League one, and almost none have any PL experience (do any?)

Still, starting from one and a half …

Edit: Williams has played PL, obv. Luongo too I guess.

The gap is huge. Look at Forest. Spent a couple hundred million and turned their squad over and for what… to be a lower half team dreaming of making the top half. It’s depressing.

Yes but that ignores 3 things

A team isn’t just how good the individual players are it’s how well those players are a a unit
If we go up this current team has momentum
Sometimes tweaking a squad is better then overhauling it
