Kings of Anglia podcast on 09:52 - Nov 28 with 2334 views | TRUE_BLUE123 | Since Andy Warren left. The only pods I can listen to are the ones with Heath and Watson A good listen this.

Stuart Watson’s analysis is second to none on 09:56 - Nov 28 with 2308 views | unstableblue | Closely followed by some of the Blue Monday team. He was quite critical of our front 4 though. And one hope for Town fans is that Hirst, Broadhead (Watson focuses on his Hawthorns display), Chaplin and Burns really fire up and damage Millwall, put them on the back foot. We really need Broadhead and Burns to start hurting defenders again and pulling them away from Chaplin and Hirst, and indeed allowing space for Davis. Big night Weds, can’t wait to see how McKenna and the team respond - I have every faith. This has been a great season, one of the best for me since the Burley years, of not the best. And I’m enjoying the sterner test it is bringing.

Kings of Anglia podcast on 16:17 - Nov 28 with 1839 views | King_of_Portman_Rd | Completely tely agree. There has been a bit of a drop since ‘The Hutch’ left, but only because S tu & Andy were so articulate and easy to listen to. I said a while ago the only ITFC podcasts worth listening to would have to include Stuart Watson as he simply gets it and puts it across so calmly and consistently. The production of KOA is generally good, however I’ve never been able to make it through a full ‘fans social’ or whatever it’s called with Ross.. can be a bit of a tough listen. Ive tried listening to Blue Monday again a few times, but the number of ‘shout outs’ and plugs for telegram are lost on me (appreciate they are looking to gain income from it so not a criticism as such) and the occasional over talking one another and puffing of cheeks followed by hyperbole can put me off. For those who haven’t listened yet, the ‘Tractor Social’ is alright. It’s short and quite relaxed without trying too hard to be analytical or overly funny.
Kings of Anglia podcast on 16:29 - Nov 28 with 1814 views | iamipswich | I do really enjoy KOA still; not as much as before but that is no sleight on the guys now. When you have a good formula, losing a key component is going to have an impact on any show. I think Alex Jones is a good addition, coming into a role which will inevitably come under scrutiny after Andy Warren's departure. AW brought a dry humour to the pod but a good footballing analysis as well as well-written articles. Certainly not a fault of AJ as such but I do sometimes get the impression that he wants to be the Championship oracle and feel he parrots the NTT20 guys a bit. I think that's probably my own issue rather than anything on him as I do think he's very articulate for a 23 year old and clearly football-mad. Mark I think is a good presenter who ties it all together well. Ross is likeable and I'm pleased for him that Andy's departure has allowed him to be more 'front of house' both on the pod and with written pieces, although I'm not sure his analysis is particularly insightful.. EDIT: Should say, Stu I think is brilliant and it's very rare that I disagree with him. [Post edited 29 Nov 2023 9:31]

That very much sums up my view.

Pretty much agree Stuart Watson is consistently good, and strangely reminds of McKenna in that he just nails certain insights into a game. Mark I used to find a bit grating, but he's a bright guy and the 'chairman' Alex Jones is just young, but I think he does provide some insights that make you think.. whether he offers differing views or points about town or games than Watson is the question and the challenge. But KOA and Blue Monday are good quality to have available to Town fans. [Post edited 28 Nov 2023 21:50]

I want to like Ross - he's actually the only lifelong Town fan on the pod - but his analysis and hosting are just terrible. He should have stuck to his role - being the goofy comic relief, rather than trying to step into a more serious and insightful role. Strangely, when it comes to women's team he's much better. Maybe it's because he has to come up with some insights of his own rather than just repeating what Stu has just said. When he steps in for Mark as host I actually can't stand more than 3-4 minutes of it before I have to turn off. Not as bad as when Mike Bacon was on though - I couldn't switch it off quick enough whenever he was introduced. I think Alex has made a really good start from what was an almost impossible pair of shoes to fill. | | | | Login to get fewer ads
Kings of Anglia podcast on 02:46 - Nov 29 with 1417 views | Joey_Joe_Joe_Junior | I don’t do the live YouTube thing because of my schedules. When I listen to podcasts I want general analysis and future perspective. So I like KOA for that, BM spends about 20 minutes saying hi to people in the chat. Also seems to do overdo specifics like the lines up of a game that’s already taken place. Even though his voice is a bit dull I like Watson. When he’s on with the main host, I really like KOA, not sure about the other lad. Joe off here and Watson would be a good duo! Bloom talks over people quite a lot when a thought goes into his head. I guess BM is just a real fans pod though so wouldn’t want to be overly critical. I’m sure they have a loyal following and give people a lot of content they like. Just seems more of an interactive thing than a podcast for my commute! [Post edited 29 Nov 2023 2:48]

I agree. I used to find Mark rather annoying with his obsession with being the hyperbolic, excitable one. Nowadays I think I appreciate more his ability to keep the show ticking along naturally. He also provides some analysis and comment without pretending to know any more than he does. Alex is doing a solid job I think (although I think his writing accuracy can be a little sloppy at times) so no issues there. Ross, as much as I think he's a good guy, his general chaotic nature does not lend itself to podding or writing. I prefer the pods without him. Big respect to him though for being on the ITFC Women early and really championing them. Also a good photographer as far as I can see. Love Stu.
