2 weeks now to reset, recover and strengthen. 17:02 - Jan 1 with 951 viewsNutkins_Return

Feels like we've limped through this busy period and so much has gone against us in a short pace of time with injuries and illness.

We have to now reset and go again and hopefully we can bring some more quality in to the building.

We'll still have the muppets demanding a full strength team for the FA Cup

No damage really done today with Saints not winning, that's the most important thing right now, agree, rest up, try to get a quality players in and go again..

Not many fresh players we can call in, though. Walton. Donacien? Baggott?

Think this is exactly right.

Whilst it’s been a blip against our juggernaut form in 2023 of late, ultimately it doesn’t feel like we could have done much more - Norwich should have been a win, Leeds away always going to be tough, very good display and well deserved point v Leicester and two displays of late that looked like a knackered side but Ipswich always the ones who controlled and wanted to win.

January has come at the right time for us and hopefully gives us a chance to add quality and also depth.

Looking back at the team which started against Fulham...

Walton, Donacien, Clarke, Tuanzebe, Burgess, Ball, Taylor, Jackson, Aluko, Harness, Ladapo

Humphreys or Williams for Clarke, Edmundson for Burgess, maybe Woolf and Tuanzebe share a half (if Williams is played, he could be at RB, Humphreys LB and Donacien moved to the middle), plus put a youngster on the right/up front? Though Buabo being on the bench despite coming back from serious injury against QPR doesn't say much about our options there.
