Both this and the Leeds goal he's never really giving himself a chance to defend the ball imo, his body shape means that if he makes contact he's bundling it into his own net. The deflection off Hladky is unfortunate and makes it even harder for him of course but he never looked positioned to really deal with it. Have to say he's not been anywhere near his best on or off the ball tonight, same as against Leeds. Tough games but if he wants to play in the Prem he'll be playing players of this quality and better every week. It's hugely frustrating as we've largely stopped them from creating anything decent and we'd just started to have the odd sniff ourselves but we then give them a gift and now I can't see a way back into it for us. |  |

I don’t think he’s that a good a defender tbh. Fantastic attacking wing back, no doubt about those qualities, but often gets skinned by the opposition right winger (and has been done again tonight).
