Back to back away wins… 14:53 - Feb 18 with 1118 viewsSitfcB

We’ve had Sat/Tue or Tue/Sat back to back away games 4 times this season…

Won 3 lots of them…

Sheff Wed 1-0
Southampton 1-0

Middlesbrough 2-0
Watford 2-1

Millwall 4-0
Swansea 2-1

Drew both the other time…

Birmingham 2-2
Rotherham 2-2

Not bad at all, the back to back away games are usually something to dread

The logistics must be a challenge. Having got home very late last night,I assume the squad were not called in today , which means that they will spend much of tomorrow on recovery procedures, so there will be little time for training before Tuesday’s match. At least we are at home Tuesday and Saturday.

Today will be about recovery. Hot tubs, saunas, rub downs etc.

We’ll be good again... one day

Certainly is, we probably wouldn't have got back from Millwall until close to 1am Thursday morning with the game not finishing until about 10pm. With the players not getting back to their houses until later still. Sleeping after a night game, especially a 4-0 win isn't easy.

Then in Thursday for recovery, travel to Swansea Friday for the game yesterday. Back at close to midnight after that you would think.

Shouldn't be underestimated what a shift that was yesterday, especially given the nature of the game, conditions, and fact they had an extra day to prepare and back to back home game so none of the travel.

Be nice to give Rotherham a real good hiding Tuesday.
