De Zerbi to Liverpool? 16:17 - Mar 31 with 992 viewsunstableblue

Thought Brighton played some very dynamic stuff at Anfield today, and players were very energised. Didn’t look a style a million miles from Klopp Liverpool.

A good shop window for the Brighton manager in front of the Anfield fans and hierarchy. And Klopp was praising him in his programme notes.

Liverpool were even more dynamic though and former Brighton man Mac Allister was deservedly MOTM.

And with Alonso staying in Germany - De Zerbi must be a favourite. In the betting he’s second behind Reuben Amorim, who’s currently managing in Portugal. Who I know nothing about.

If De Zerbi was to leave Brighton no doubt McKenna would be a favourite. But hopefully he will already be at a Premier League club with us. And indeed I’m still not convinced Brighton have the capacity, fan base and history to lure him away from here. The only lure would be his timeline to manage a Premiership team and the parachute payment inequality. Brighton also have some really good players.

Even if we were to go up, McKenna is the perfect fit for Brighton. If they come asking, he will go. Good squad and plenty of cash to bring in some of his own.

3 years there bouncing around the Euro places and then on to Spurs.

I wouldn't be so sure if we went up. Although Brighton are much further along, he will get a lot of support here and I hope having taken us from where we were would fancy taking us in the Premier League. He's still young, his chance should still come.

That said, if we don't go up I imagine he would be very tempted. I hope not though.

Were you at the Blackburn game?
The proudness on his face when addressing the fans at the end was very telling.
I reckon he is here for a while. He looked so proud of us and him.

Can't see it if we went up. He would have the resources here to be as big as Brighton, and would probably get better offers if he refused them.
