He's a solid manager but he is what he is, he plays a pretty pragmatic unadventurous approach They have some quality players who clearly step up at home but their away form has been shocking I think we could build a plan to expose them, far more than we did today with existing personnel I'm not saying today was the right game for it but I'm amazed we haven't tried Moore and Al-Hamadi together, they played together at Preston and almost helped rescue a point for us there Is there a need to have two number 10's all the time?

We need a couple more results to fall our way also between now and the end of the season. We need Leeds to fall away badly. Leicester whilst they have their game in hand seem odds on.

Wagner a decent guy and he's 100% correct but... on 08:32 - Apr 7 with 1140 views | HighgateBlue | I’ve seen a lot of people agree with Wagner on this. Does this mean that our players let us down? In previous encounters with Norwich such as the Berra playoff semis, we just weren’t as good as them. Yesterday we were top and flying. It’s one thing giving your all but lacking in quality. Surely not even wanting it enough is the biggest crime against fans? I’m not reaching a conclusion on whether they did want it. I’m just pondering the consequences of Wagner and many Town fans (everyone on the news story comments) being right on this.

Leicester have a tough run in to be fair, millwall , Plymouth, fighting for survival, West Brom Preston still fighting for play offs. saints then blackburn who Have a game in them. It’s going to be a roller coaster of emotions to the finish . Think we will need 3 home wins and a win and a draw away to guarantee promotion.. [Post edited 7 Apr 2024 8:42]

There's nothing to "ponder". It's absolute nonsense. We may have been more fatigued, we may have let the occasion get to us more being the away team and a lot of our players not having played there before, but no way did their players "want it more". We were top of the table and looking for automatic promotion, it's impossible for any other set of players to "want it more" than ours would have done. Sometimes it just doesn't click and you're not at your best. It happens. Anyone questioning our players' desire is a cretin or stupid or both (or, like Wagner, has another agenda).

There was no lack of effort - a disgraceful accusation after what these players have achieved. Manager of the year Wagner and the doom brigade are wrong. He can say what he likes. It’ll help the play off team talk, if it comes to that. The players didn’t let us down. They never do. That was Lambert and co’s miserable efforts. Neither did they want it any less. I hate that phrase. It’s really simple. For a variety of reasons, that ghastly mob were better than us on the day and we deservedly lost. We weren’t good enough. It happens. The name of the game in sport is to take it, pick yourself up, beat up the next opponents and look forward to smashing the chain gang shower next time.
