I agree with Brenner, I don’t think he did either.
If you actively court interest and then a club want you, you don’t tend to turn them down.
Yes maybe he wanted a better deal, why shouldn’t he. He has a family to look after and didn’t make money as a player. You don’t think he deserves his contract after what he has done??

On the last point, absolutely.
I find it hard to agree that he didn't have his agent drumming up interest with the types of quotes and leaks we saw.

'Actively courted' is different to 'listening to what is on offer' though isn't it. The former suggests that he was giving them the 'come on' - and I'm with Brenner, I doubt he did though.
