I’d be interested to read something about the processes that the club still need to go through to achieve CAT1 on the academy. I’d imagine it’s progressed quite some distance since we missed out by 0.2%

Quite a long way, I would assume, but I've really not looked into it much in recent years. The standards have changed a lot over the last decade and we'd have to upgrade significantly, adding more staff etc. Assume it will be a year down the line at the very least. |  | | |

Isn't one or the requirements a certain volume of academy players going onto make senior appearences. I don't think it means for that specific club but like a Knight who then went onto city and had loans etc. |  |

It certainly was as that was why we missed out when we first applied. All good on all other criteria, apparently. Not sure of the stipulations on that front at the moment. We've had a fair few players move on very early to Premier League clubs, although without much first-team involvement that I can think of. | | | |
