I thought he looked good when he came on and then they got to grips with him after a while. I think he exemplified what we were missing more generally without any of Burns, Hutchinson, Sarmiento, or Jackson.

Useful player to have in the squad...already knows all the past tactics / patterns of play, and can play anywhere behind the No.9; if we were to switch to a midfield 3, I think he has the physicality to play there too.

Totally agree - thought he deserved MOTM instead of Morsy to be fair

With Broadhead now injured, Harness has got to take his chance of cementing a more regular place in the starting 11. I don't think we've seen the best of him yet, I think he will step up.

I was surprised he was hardly used the last quarter of the season. There were 2 or 3 games which he would have thrived off the bench from.

He played 30 minutes in the last 10 games. If he’s closer to getting minutes when this season kicks off then we’ve either gone backwards by way of depth or he’s improved. Right now we’ve lost Hutchinson, Sarmiento, Jackson & Broadhead from the run-in squad, elevating Harness, but by the time the season starts I can’t see him being any closer to getting game time than he was towards the end of last season.

I thought Morsy played a couple of great through balls but also gave the ball away a bit more than usual. He also had at least one really good shooting chance from the edge of the box which he passed up (as he often does). I don't understand why he often chooses not shoot from there because he often scores when he does do so.

Especially when his name is the one touted as being at risk of being moved on... He did really well when he came on and wasn't just a cameo either... Came on fairly early too.. still has something to offer, albeit as a squad player..

Jack Taylor on the other hand, is one player for me, who is at risk of being moved on... Never been able to cement a place in the team... What is his best position? CM? or a number 10? Really should have scored yesterday to make it 2-2

Was very bright and certainly added some energy but after his initial burst thought he played the role like the kid at school who just hung around up the top of the pitch wanting the ball knocked over for him every time.

Not really his fault as he's not so familiar to the position but there were so many occasions where Johnson had the ball and wanted to feed it up the line but Harness was just trying to peel off the shoulder of the LB to run in behind when it wasn't really on.

Fair play to him if he's knuckled down and come back with a point to prove but we can't be having him as a serious option really.

Just because I don't care doesn't mean I don't understand.

To be fair he played better with Johnson than Burns did, there did not seem to be any connection between them.

Not sure why players like Harness cannot move up to prem level.
Bit like Calton Morris at Luton. Ignoring his Norwich connection, many fans laughed at Luton sticking with Morris after promotion. Spent all his life in L1 and Champ, and i think a few even felt he would never score a prem goal, in the end he scored 11. More than Sterling, Hojlund or Rashford.
OK Luton were relegated, but players can step up.

Players can step up, although I’m not sure Harness managed to do that in the Championship. Not enough to be considered a starter anyway. So PL seems unlikely, but you never know. I’m not convinced he’ll still be here to get the chance to prove he can step up. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s collateral damage from our promotion.

Weird comparison - Morris scored 20 goals as Luton's main man in the Championship, Harness was a bit part player who was barely used in the 2nd half of the season.

Good to see you at the game RD

I agree he looked sharp in parts, especially compared to the others.

He might also have a squad role to play in the season if he is lucky........... but if I'm honest, I never thought I would ever witness a pairing of Harness and Lapado again.

Yes, good to see you also. It was a very good pre-season friendly match afternoon (apart from the result) 500 away supporters were good to see and hear in the sunshine.

Not sure Freddie or 'The Fridge" will be around for the new season.

I think the martial arts training Harness spends time on has sharpened him up. Many championship clubs will be knocking on the door for him I would think.

Maybe see you at Nice?

Burns was clearly affected by his injury.
