We've not got a bad record against AC Milan in the European Cup ourselves! (Won one, lost one).
In fact, AC Milan's win record in the European Cup/Champions League is 49%, and Liverpool's is 58%.
Ours is 75% :)

IMO Liverpool are no longer a dis-likable club. For me it has to do with Klopp. His style of play and his personality won me over. They also have likeable players like Trent, Salah, Alisson , Virgil and Robertson.They along with Arsenal are nowhere near as odious as Chelsea or the Manchester clubs. I actually quite like them.
