it will be pure luck. I managed to get 1 for Liverpool, but it was all luck for me.

Personally, I have been a member for years and will continue to do so. Partly because in a small way it helps the club financially (although might not be needed now we're in the prem!).

I, like everyone else, am frustrated with ballot. It should have been 5/3+ last season, the point we sold out the final game of last season.

I do feel the club are in a hard spot though. They want to cement ITFC within the younger fanbase and that means making games more accessible, after all, they probably lost a generation or two over the last 20 odd years. Not sure a bigger stadium would resolve it either because it'd be taken primarily by season tickets (i can't have one for work reasons, I'd usually gobble up midweek games) and if we go down attendance would drop and us membership people would walk into any game.

What to do?

I think you would have to be quite unlucky to go 19 league games without getting a ticket

Truly impaired.

It will give you a better chance of home tickets, it might only be small but better than not having one. Whether that increased probability is worth £40 depends on you.

There are going to be tickets available for members for lesser games at times.

I have a S/T but only 7 away points. So all homes games guaranteed! I felt the club were a bit naughty in regards to the away ballot by only issuing 2% of tickets in the ballot and not informing that this would be the case until last week. By which time most fans had forked out £35. If it will only be 60 tickets or less for the away ballot then anyone with a S/T and less than 15 points will find their membership as good as useless!

In my case, living in Sleaford, every game is an away game. So with exception of Forest away, I wasn’t too concerned buying my membership early. But now I probably won’t bother with the membership at all.

Of course you could think of it as a donation to the club, but fans should have had all the facts first before learning that they would be fighting out over 60 away tickets per match..

I got an away membership but am at the bottom in terms of points, don't see many getting much chance of getting away tickets this year if Man City is anything to go by.

I have a ST and Man City (a) ticket so nothing to gain here, but I wouldn't have quibbled if it had been a half priority / half ballot system.

I'd have probably missed out if that had been the case, but it would have seemed fair. I know the club is in a difficult place with this but have to agree I was a bit surprised by the split (2,940 priority sale/60 ballot).

I think their aim is it doesn't become a closed shop but I don't see how 2% achieves that. They are never going to make everyone happy but the chances in the away ballot do seem tiny.

As for home tickets that seems skewed the other way. Only having 1 game qualification means any priority is almost non-existent. Home ticket ballot is luck, followed by a sale which is also down to luck. Again, I'd have thought half should be sold with a proper priority system and half in a ballot would have been fairer.

But as I say, they are never going to make everyone happy. Hopefully those that feel they are missing out manage to see the team a few times.
