Doesn't matter to us now though, are focus has to be to bed in the new signings and get them into the McKenna way of thinking. The one thing I will say and hope we don't do it again, is our formation. 5-4-1. Under McKenna we have mostly played 4-2-3-1 and we shouldn't change that for anyone. We have signed a lot of attack minded players, so let's use them. Please Kieran, never a 5-4-1 again. let us play our way and if we get beat, then so be it. 4-2-3-1 from now on please.

I watched a chunk of the City Chelsea game last week and although Chelsea had a go in patches, I felt City were nowhere near top gear and they still won with ease. We were always going to be on the bad end of it yesterday and so it proved. Interesting what you say about formation. I agree that we should play our way 100%. However, last season we did appear to play slightly differently away to at home at times. Did we change formation against better teams or just sit deeper? There is plenty to learn from the last two games, both in players’ strength, weaknesses and character. There’s plenty to do too in binding this team together in the way you rightly describe. The international break will help. MOTD? I haven’t watched it often in recent years. It seems to be all about the presenters and their love in with certain clubs.

They expect us to go down with a whimper for having L1 players and daring to play in ‘their’ premier league .
Motd so city biased and centerred on 08:13 - Aug 25 with 1560 views | bsw72 | MOTD has been like this for the last 15 years. It lasts 90 minutes, to cover upwards of 600 mins of football. Considering chat and analysis takes upwards of a third of that then it will only ever cover the primary and controversial points for analysis. Yesterday’s game the highlights were Haaland hat-trick and return of Gundogan (sp?). We did not do enough to earn the analysis time, our penalty shout ultimately had little bearing on the result and was deemed non controversial. As of right now, until we start winning games and with it hearts and minds of PL fans and broadcasters, we will remain “extras” alongside the main PL star cast, with the associated coverage.

The reality is though that the nation, tuning into Match of the Day, isn't that interested in how Ipswich did. They are basing it around what the majority will care about. City maybe winning 5 in a row, Haaland being a machine and us being well beaten in the end.

Yeah, what would an England international and Premier League winner know about football? Bl00dy BBC eh. For the OP, I bet you don’t like Don Goodman,Look East etc. Probably was a pen, would it have made a difference, probably not. We’ve got a place at the top table, sadly we need to do a lot more to get noticed. However, in the lead up to the season I think we’ve had a lot of coverage from Sky, TNT and BBC. Far more than Southampton and Leicester. Enjoy it!! | | | | Login to get fewer ads
Motd so city biased and centerred on 08:56 - Aug 25 with 1224 views | RIPbobby | This will never change. Manchester is a much bigger city than Ipswich and they will always bow to the more people. Same with about Anglia. They are based in Norwich and they will always favour them. Even if we win 3 consecutive champions leagues. No point in getting upset by these. It's the way it is
