Yeah already a favourite. He's a real unit and doesn't give defenders a second.

He is an order of magnitude above Hirst IMO. He and Omari have the highest ceiling of any Ipswich players this century and perhaps as far back as the early 1980s. Delap is without a doubt better than Harry Kane was at the same age. If, and it's a big if all, goes well he could become Kane's long term successor as England's main striker.

He looked good, Omari however to me looks the real deal, you take him out of the team and we would lose a lot.

The only Muff in Town.

We needed Broja because delap can only play 70 mins and then tired and al hamadi is not up to it.

I did say to my son. No matter what subs we made. Don't take off hutchinson. He may get tired but he still doesn't lose the ability to use his feet to get us out of trouble.

Hirst would come on, and actually Al Hamadi didn't do too bad when he came today.

I think out of the young (aged 22 and under) wide/attacking midfielders in The Prem he trials Cole Palmer and that's it. I am not counting Saka as he is not a CAM.

Sorry I have to disagree here he was dreadful. He bounced off fulham players. Tripped over himself and couldn't even set clarke up on his strongest foot.

I was passionate last night about the lack of striker cover for this reason alone and today showed for me at least I was correct with that concern.

However hirst is back for the next game I believe so its OK.

Still need cover in case of injury though....

Is there any need for that level of negativity around Hirst, you've not even seen him play in the PL yet.

Agreed, I think Horst will thrive at this level once fully fit. He has all the attributes.

The extra depth wouldn’t hurt. Bench is looking a bit light these days.

Poll: Do you think Pert is key to all of this?
