Clarke sending off 21:40 - Oct 26 with 1497 viewsDJR

Looking at this at around 2.20, it seems to me that Clarke played the ball which makes the second booking rather harsh.

This begs the question, why don't sending offs involving a second yellow go to VAR?

Yep I thought he played the ball but VAR couldn’t intervene on a second yellow which is ridiculous given it can upgrade a yellow card.

You answered the question I posed when I amended my post but it does seem ridiculous given the seriousness of a second card.

Just seen it on MOTD definitely played the ball...and that idiot Walcott...what a complete wibble.

Thx for posting the video - as I saw at the time, he clearly got the ball, no foul at all, not even a dodgy follow-through.

The guy literally jumped over Clarke's leg when the ball had already gone.
