I wonder if it's worth phoning the club and explaining the special day and how far you're coming, to see if they'll let you have a shufti in the training ground or the stadium?

Mid week?
Best chance is to go to Playford Ford training ground. Park up on the little road by entrance, and walk round to the gate man.
Security bloke ‘might’ let you in the car park for a few photos.
But if not hang around outside for when the leave training (I’d guess about 1330?) |  |

Others may know different, but if we’ve played on a saturday (then play the following Saturday) the players seem to have Sunday and Monday off.
Then (by the sounds of shouting and whistles) they are in training Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday.
Phil might be able to confirm that though
If I were you I’d drop Ashton an email (will be his PA picks it up) but previously he has been really helpful with fan engagement things. (That was in L1 and the championship tho, might be too busy now 😃)

I grew up in Herts, but when I settled on Ipswich as my team, it was still too far out of reach to go, but my (divorced) folks got together to arrange to take me to a game at PR
Unbeknownst to me, they'd arranged with the club for me to meet the players before the match
End of March 1984, we beat Luton 3-0 & I still have the autograph book with all those fabulous signatures in, although sadly I was only a few weeks too late from meeting/getting autograph of my favourite player Paul Mariner who by then had only just joined Arsenal |  | | |
