Ogbene going off was the downfall wasn’t it? 18:31 - Oct 26 with 1579 viewsMullet

He offers his full back so much more front and back. Now he’s out for the season.

Felt it’s no coincidence Harry absolutely sh1t and never got going, harsh as the ref seemed to be with him and leifs throw in (anyone think Brentford just did what they want with no censure or am I being paranoid?)

As good as seeing KP and Cajuste as well as Szmodics was. Feels like we’ve thrown away a massive chance today. You can’t be 2-0 up in this league and waste it. Especially if you’re a relegation candidate for so many.

The longer I stew the angrier I’m getting about the opportunity missed. New day tomorrow and all that

I don’t think so - just thought it was us playing the expansive way we play like last season and going toe to toe with a proper premier league team - we are not getting a few of the decisions and unfortunate that teams are so clinical and a few times with us not so but it was a great game and confidence builder for sure especially with so many players out injured. It could be that the injuries will actually create the team and formation that will work best for us over all to bring the better players back into - we had a proper 10 with szmodics and Chaplin both interchanging - it needs to stay that way with hurst in front and even delap playing wide right would

We have some friends around for dinner tonight, I may just have to go up the garden for a quick primal scream before they get here to get today's result out of my system. Hitting the post was just the final straw!

I wasn’t sure if he got injured in the build up to the goal or over stretching on the edge of our box, but he was part of the system. It was that which really got us moving today, once he went off that seemed to rock us.

Really feel like Brentford were there for taking at half time had we held on. The way we let them back in just as we got to the break was criminal

Absolutely - I was praying we could keep it at 2-0 until half time & then have a plan to shut down the 2nd half. Even after Brentford scored their first goal, I was worried it would be a real game-changer & so it proved.

A bit of me has been wondering that too - as long as we don't get any more injuries. Being down to a core of players who are regularly training together as a team and are fit to start together might help develop their understanding and cohesion as a unit - something rather lacking so far this season.

Also very good to see more of our 'old guard' previous seasons' players showing their merit & capability of performing really well at this level. That's a confidence booster all round.
